Y-view fluoroscopy (Scotty dog view)

In fluoroscopy-guided interventional pain procedures, different views are used to visualize anatomical structures.

The Y-view (also referred to in some contexts as “oblique” or “scotty-dog” view in spinal interventions) helps visualize the neural foramina, facet joints and pedicles. It provides a critical angle for accurate needle placement in spinal injections or radiofrequency procedures.
