Electrodes

Electrodes are the medical devices that deliver electrical or radiofrequency energy to tissues.

In PRF treatments, electrodes are placed either invasively (close to a nerve or dorsal root ganglion) or transcutaneously (on the skin) to create a targeted field effect. The design and placement of electrodes are crucial for safety and effectiveness, ensuring that pain-modulating energy reaches the intended area without damaging surrounding tissue.
